Virtual Visit Volunteer
- SPONSER: Conversations to Remember
- DATE: Ongoing.
- BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Conversations to Remember is a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to combat feelings of isolation and loneliness among older adults. We facilitate weekly video calls with older adults, including those with
dementia, with the goal of creating intergenerational friendships. Young adult college students will engage in
virtual visits with an older adult. Each video call will have 2-3 young adult student volunteers matched with one older adult. We’re looking for outgoing, chatty volunteers who can commit to one hour visits each week on the same day and time, for a minimum of 16 weeks. The goal of these visits is to create intergenerational relationships between older adults and young college students. - TO SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER: Please click HERE.
