  • SALARY: For this position, we offer a total compensation package of $98,010 per year, including a base pay range of $71,400-$81,600 per year.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION: BillionToOne is a next-generation molecular diagnostics company dedicated to developing powerful and accurate diagnostic tests that are accessible to all. Our innovative QCT molecular counting technology significantly enhances the resolution of disease detection using cell-free DNA by over a thousandfold. We are looking for a Bioinformatics Associate, Prenatal to join our Clinical Operations team to create computational tools to analyze groundbreaking molecule diagnostics. This person will be responsible for developing bioinformatics pipelines and analyzing next-generation DNA sequencing data under the guidance of bioinformatics scientists.

Job/Position: Part Time Science Mentors and Camp Educators (Bay Area)
  • INSTITION/COMPANY: Headwaters Science Institute

  • Schedule: Seasonal appointment with possibility for extension, 10-40 hours/week – starting as early as September 2024.
  • HOURLY WAGE: $22=$24/hour depending on experience
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Headwaters Science Institute is looking to connect with more graduate students in science. We do science research programs with middle school and high school students and we are looking for mentors who are working in science to help with our field programs. I'm hoping you can please share this information with your science students. We have after school and weekend science programs as field days throughout the fall and school year. It is a great opportunity for them to give back and influence the next generation as we get grant money and work with students who would never have a chance to do field science. There is no minimum commitment, they can do one day or more throughout the year. Mentors should feel comfortable instructing and guiding groups of students with science projects, and working with students in an outdoor setting. Rather than a wealth of knowledge around the specific project topic area, the most important attribute we are looking for is comfort building and executing field science projects with kids.
    Mentor Qualifications: Some classes or background in science is required. Experience working with youth: formal or informal teaching/outreach, or previous summer camp experience is a plus. We are looking for students who are aligned with our mission to create informed citizens who positively impact society through engagement, curiosity, and applications of the scientific method.
