Deadline February 1st - Latino Mental Health Research Training Program
The on-line application is now open for the NIH/NIMHD-funded Minority Health and Health Disparities International Research Training program (MHIRT) which we refer to as the Latino Mental Health Research Training Program. The last day to submit an application is February 1, 2016. Undergraduate and pre-doctoral level students who are interested in conducting mental health research in Mexico during the summer of 2016 are encouraged to apply. - 3.0 GPA or bettero Research career orientation
- Excellent Spanish language oral and written skills
- Background in statistics
- Undergraduates with junior or senior class standing for 2015-2016 academic year, post-baccalaureate/master level degree students, and pre-doctoral level students.
- Other income and language requirements apply.
Deadline February 29th - Stanford Summer Community College Premedical Program
The Stanford Center of Excellence in Diversity in Medical Education is now accepting applications for the 2016 Summer Community College Program.
Selectees will participate in a four-week summer experience on the Stanford Medical School campus, improving their knowledge of health disparities while attending sessions on leadership in medicine and heath, community engagement, preparing for the medical school application process, and graduate/professional school financing.
Who is eligible to apply?
Community college students in the San Francisco Bay and surrounding area.
Is there a cost to participate?
Selectees who maintain their eligibility and successfully complete the program attend at no cost.
What are the program dates?
Monday - Saturday, 8am - 5pm from June 30 - July 29, 2016
When will I know if I've been selected?
The application cycle closes on February 29, 2016.
Invitations to interview will be sent on or before March 6, 2016
Interviews will be held on the School of Medicine campus between March 7 and March 25th.
Am I also eligible to apply to HCOP?
Due to funding restrictions, the Health Careers Opportunity Program will not be offered until further notice.
